After the three notebooks dedicated to photovoltaic, wind and biomass, the fourth paper of the series "Renewable sources", prepared by Srm, offers a monitoring of some of the main incentive tools used for the development of the sector, using a series of synthetic fact sheets as a form of illustration.
The paper focuses in particular on the forecasts of the 2007-2013 community programming. In this context, in fact, the National Strategic Framework (QSN) provides a specific objective for the energy sector; this is Priority 3 - Energy and the environment: sustainable and efficient use of resources for development which aims to increase, on the one hand, the share of energy produced from renewable sources and, on the other, the availability of resources through savings. Resources totaling over 4,1 billion euros are allocated to this priority and with reference to the energy sector alone, of which 3,05 billion for the Convergence areas and 1,06 billion for the Competitiveness areas.
Of particular relevance is the provision of an Interregional Operational Program (POI) 2007-2013 specifically dedicated to the subject in question which, addressed to the Convergence areas, provides resources for 1.607,7 million euros to which the provisions of the 2007-2013 Operational Programs (POR) of the individual Regions are added.
With regard to the latter, the work examines the Programs of the Convergence Regions – Basilicata (phasing out), Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily – as well as that of Sardinia (Regional Competitiveness and Employment Objective); programs which, taken together, envisage an amount of resources in favor of renewable energies equal to over 952 million euros.
