Squinzi replies to Berlusconi: "The euro must be fully defended"

Italian industry is not being seduced by the anti-euro sirens reactivated by the right. The reply to Berlusconi, who said yesterday that leaving the euro would not be blasphemy, comes from Verona, directly from the mouth of the new president of Confindustria George Squinzi, who, questioned on the sidelines of a conference on economics, lifts the shield in favor of the single currency: “The euro must be fully defended and there must be a determination, which crosses all of Europe, to support it”.

After defending the single currency, Squinzi relaunched, reiterating the need for him to act "with greater determination in the direction of the United States of Europe", a road that must be paved by an ever greater unity, founded on five fundamental points: "coordination of fiscal policies, welfare, structural investments and energy policy, but above all, the creation of a European Central Bank with true central bank powers".
