Spread below 100 points: lowest since May 2010

The Btp Bund spread falls below the threshold of 100 basis points. It happened this morning when the markets opened: while Piazza Affari started the day on parity (+0,01% to 22.166 points), the spread between Italian and German ten-year government bonds first touched 100, then slipping below below (99,4 at 9.30) e thus updating the lows since mid-May 2010. The 1,32-year Treasury yield is at a new all-time low of XNUMX%.

The result comes at the end of a week characterized by the success of Btp auctions (yesterday the Treasury placed 4,5 billion ten-year BTPs with interest rates at historic lows) and the renewed confidence in the economy recorded with the surprise rise in consumer and business confidence indicators in the European Union.
