On the day of the awaited BTP auction, the spread between Italian ten-year bonds and their German counterparts widens. Indeed, after closing at 281 yesterday, the Btp-Bund spread opened at 286 points, climbing up to 290, beyond the Monti threshold (287), before fall back to 284 points. The yield on ten-year bonds, therefore, once again exceeds the threshold of 4,4%.
The Bonos-Bund spread also increased, to 311 points, for a yield of 4,67%.
