After falling to a low of 497 basis points, it started running again and reached 518 bps – It is still, however, far from the historic record since the introduction of the euro of 575 bps, reached yesterday's dramatic day

Spread Btp-Bund, returns above 500 bp

The spread between ten-year BTPs and the equivalent Bunds is starting to rise again. At around 16:45 it was around 518 basis points, while previously, thanks to the perspective of Prime Minister Mario Monti, it had dropped to 497.
However, this morning it had started its run at 570 bps after yesterday it had recorded its all-time high since the introduction of the euro, 575 bps.
As for the yield, it now stands at 6,955%, after yesterday's record of 7,4%.
