The slight rise in the yield on German bunds and the concomitant drop in that on 10-year BTPs brings the spread back below the 100 basis point threshold
Another record on the front of the spread between 10-year Btp and Bund. After closing on Friday at 101 basis points, today the yield differential between Italian and German 10-year government bonds fell to a minimum of 97. At 12 today, the Btp-Bund spread 98 pb.
Contributing to this new drop below 100 points was the concomitant drop in the yield on ten-year BTPs, which stood at 1,31%, and the increase in the yield on 10-year German Bunds, which rose to 0,33%.
