To help Italians with self-certification necessary for travel in times of coronavirus, the State Railways created app for smartphones and tablets. Thanks to this new tool, users can compile the new version of the template and then get a file in PDF format, which will then go printed and shown to the police force in case of control.
The app is called “FS self-certification” and can already be downloaded for free from the official Android store. The version for Apple devices will also arrive soon, to be downloaded through the iOS store.
For those who prefer to use the computer or don't want to download the app, the same functions are available even from browsers to this address. Instead, only employees of the FS Italiane Group can use the company intranet portal.
The file in Pdf format, in accordance with the provisions of the Viminale, must be printed and shown during police checks for the countersignature by the operators, after the identification of the declarant.
The data collected in the form they are not stored on the company servers of the FS group: on the contrary, once the declaration has been downloaded, they are deleted.
The App helps to fill in the latest self-certification model, the one released by the Interior Ministry on 17 March. Compared to the past, now it is also necessary to ensure that you are not never tested positive for the coronavirus Covid 19 and then not be subjected to the obligations of quarantine. Of course, you don't need to certify that you are not positive for the virus, which only those who have been swabbed can know. Therefore, those who are well and have never had a swab can easily self-certify their right to move from home.
The most important rule is worth remembering: anyone who has contracted the virus or has come into contact with people who have tested positive for the swab test must remain in isolation and cannot leave the house under any circumstances. In the new form it will therefore be necessary to self-certify that you are in the conditions to be able to move from your home to one of the four foreseen cases: proven work needs, situations of necessity, health reasons or return to one's home.
