Sport and disability: from Vodafone new tender worth 2 million euros

Vodafone, through its Foundation, has launched the new Oso tender: a total of 2 million euros to bring disabled people closer to sport. Those who wish to apply can do so onlineuntil 23 January 2018, On the site everysportoltre.it, by registering on the OSO – Ogni Sport Oltre platform, filling in the online form and attaching the required documentation on the project they wish to present. The new call OSO - Every Sport Beyond, with a total value of 2 million euros, “has the objective of identifying, supporting and financing i best projects aimed at spreading the culture of sporting practice, and able to involve people with disabilities, their families, trainers and volunteers”, explains a note from the telephone group.

They can join the call non-profit organizations and associations: non-profit sports companies and associations, Paralympic sports federations, sports federations recognized by the CIP as Paralympic sports disciplines, Paralympic sports promotion bodies, voluntary organisations, social cooperatives or consortia of social cooperatives, social promotion associations (APS), associations, foundations and social enterprises recognized and registered in the Business Register according to law 155/2006 and the recent reform of the third sector.

Since its opening, OSO has mapped over a thousand realities including associations, federations and sports facilities that deal with sports and disabilities. In May 2017, the first 1,6 million euro tender dedicated to the initiative closed, which led to the selection and funding of 40 national and local projects. To date, the crowdfunding platform of OSO - Ogni Sport Oltre - accessible to all associations that want to access a fundraiser - has allowed a collection of over 200 thousand euros.

For the evaluation, the social impact, feasibility, sustainability, replicability, originality and innovativeness of the project ideas will be considered. Projects in partnership will be considered positively, projects that intend to expand or evolve activities that have already started successfully, those that demonstrate a consolidated positioning in the reference community and good networking skills. Further evaluation elements will be the ability to use digital to create innovation and the commitment to promote the values ​​of OSO.

Project funding requests cannot exceed 80% of the total economic requirement. The proposing entities will contribute through their own funds or those of third parties to cover the remaining amount. Institutions will be able to collect the necessary sums through crowdfunding on the OSO – Ogni Sport Oltre platform.
