Spesometro, today the first deadline for goods over 3.600 euros

Today is the first expiry date of the spendometer, the tool used by the Revenue Agency to track purchases made in 2013 for an amount equal to or greater than 3.600 euros: those who buy cars, jewelery or luxury goods in general will end up under the scrutiny Tax, since the seller is also obliged to declare.

Spesometro, today the first deadline for goods over 3.600 euros

The first deadline for the spendometer, the tool used by the Revenue Agency to track the profile of real income, is triggered today, as it learns of purchases made in 2013 for an amount equal to or greater than 3.600 euros. That is, to be clear, for the so-called luxury goods, which often escape the tax authorities.

For taxpayers, there are two reference dates for declaring them: one today, the other April 30th. The first concerns those who liquidate the VAT every three months, while on April 30 it will be the turn of the financial operators through whom payments for purchases of 3.600 euros and more made by credit card and debit card pass.

Both the services rendered and received must be communicated to the Revenue Agency. Merchants, for example, will have to report all invoiced sales. But that's not all: in the case of retail traders, the spend meter is triggered only if the operations for which there is no obligation to invoice (but documented by a receipt or tax receipt) have an amount equal to or greater than the fateful 3.600 euros.

For this reason, those who buy cars, jewellery, clothing and various luxury accessories or those who pay for expensive trips or memberships to sports clubs will necessarily end up under the magnifying glass of the tax authorities, given that the first traders, businesses and operators financers who will sell these goods are obliged to notify the tax authorities. Only export sales made by companies, imports and intra-community purchases that are already subject to other surveys by the tax registry are exempt from the spesometer.
