With a provision arrived today, Monday 5 February, the Revenue Agency modifies the expiry date of the light meter. La communication of invoice data relating to the second half of 2017 must be sent by April 6. To establish the new date is a provision signed by the director, Ernesto Maria Ruffini, who dand indeed postpones the deadline by more than a month. Until today, the last day to send the documentation was set at February 28th.

As explained by the Agenzia delle Entrate in a note, the deadline of 6 April will be valid “also for the optional telematic transmission of the data of the invoices issued and received and related changes".

"To ensure compliance with the provisions of the taxpayer's statute - reads the note -, the deadline for the communication of invoice data for the second half of 2017, originally set for February 28, is moved to April 6, 2018, i.e. the sixtieth day after to the publication of today's provision. The deadline for the any additionsi.e. for the optional electronic transmission of invoice data issued and received. Furthermore, the communications of the invoices referred to operations of 2018 – even for those who exercise the option – can be sent on a quarterly or half-yearly basis”.

Among the new measures, finally explains the tax agency, "aimed at easing the obligations for businesses and professionals, are simplify and reduce the information required, it becomes possible to communicate the summary data for invoices issued and received for an amount of less than 300 euros, the choice of transmitting the data on a quarterly or half-yearly basis becomes optional".
