Spesometro 2017 towards new extension to 16 October

The goal is to meet professionals who have encountered many difficulties in recent weeks mainly due to technical problems on the online revenue platform

The soap opera of Spesometer 2017 is enriched with a new episode. A new, yet another extension is being studied, which this time should move the deadline for sending the tax documentation with the VAT invoice data to the Revenue Agency from 5 to 16 October. A decree from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers will be required for the new postponement.

The goal is to meet the professionals who have encountered many difficulties in recent weeks mainly due to technical problems on the online Revenue platform, which had imposed the emergency mini-postponement to 5 October. But a longer extension had been in the air for some time.

The Ministry of the Economy and the financial administration have explained several times that, before establishing the new deadline precisely within which it will be possible to send the data for the expense meter, the system will have to be fully operational again and demonstrate that it can also support a massive amount of mailings (between the end of September and the last few days, over one billion and six hundred million invoices were sent to the tax authorities).

Meanwhile, Treasury and Revenue technicians are working on a rule that disables penalties in the event of errors or defaults for this (and unfortunate) round of the new spending meter.
