Spain, GDP -1% in the last 12 months

In the second quarter of 2012, the Iberian gross domestic product recorded a contraction of 0,4% compared to the previous quarter – The Bank of Spain points out, however, that exports have shown a "moderate recovery".

The GDP of Spain has recorded in the second quarter of 2012 a contraction of 0,4% compared to the previous quarter. Year on year the contraction was 1%. These are the estimates communicated by the Bank of Spain in the monthly bulletin pending the official data which will be published on 30 July.

The Bank of Spain points out that domestic demand suffered a "more pronounced decline compared to the previous quarter", while exports showed a "moderate recovery".
