Spain closes 2012 with record unemployment at 26,02% e nearly six million people are out of work. This was communicated by the national statistical institute which published the data for the fourth quarter of 2012. In the previous quarter, unemployment was 25% and, in the last year alone, the figure has worsened by almost a million: at the beginning of last year there were just over 5 million unemployed citizens. The only sector in which there has been an increase in employment is agriculture (64 hires), while industry, construction and above all services (-500 jobs) continue to collapse.
