Spain, unemployment at 21,5%, never so high since 1996

In November, unemployment in the Iberian country rose to 21,5% and the unemployed reached 4,42 million, the highest figure since 1996. Agriculture is the only sector in which jobs have not been lost.

The growth of unemployment in Spain does not stop, reaching 21,5% in November; last month, reports the Spanish Ministry of Labour, 59.536 people lost their jobs, bringing the number of unemployed to 4.420.462, the highest figure since 1996.

The only sector in which jobs are not being lost is agriculture, where unemployment is down by 1,7%, while it is rising in all other sectors: industry (+0,7%), construction (+ 0,8%) and services, with a +1,89%.
