Ruinous collapse of Spanish industrial production, which in October it marks a worrying -4% every year. This is the worst result of the last 21 months. In September, the drop was 1,8% and analysts expected a similar drop for the following month as well.
The National Statistical Institute communicated that the industrial production index (increased this year only in January and February) since the beginning of 2011 it has dropped by 0,7%, compared to the same period of 2010. And the negative trend involves all industrial sectors.
For the production of durable consumer goods the decrease was 14%, for non-durable goods 1% and for instrumental goods 1,5%. Intermediate goods, on the other hand, recorded a drop of 5,8%, while energy production fell by 7,6%.
