Spain, more Bonos placed than expected: rates down

€3,527 billion of bonds maturing in 2019 were assigned with a yield of 2,382% (down from the 2,697% recorded in the previous auction of the same type) and a bid to cover of €1,8 – €1,761 billion of bonds maturing were also sold 2028: In this case, the yield fell from 4,809% to 4,192%.

Spain, more Bonos placed than expected: rates down

Better than expected result for Spain on the government bond market. This morning the Madrid Treasury placed Bonos for a total of 5,288 billion euros, beyond the expected range of 4-5 billion. 

In detail, 3,527 billion Bonos maturing in 2019 were assigned with a yield of 2,382% (down from the 2,697% recorded in the previous auction of the same type) and a bid to cover of 1,8. 

1,761 billion euros of securities maturing in 2028 were also sold: in this case, the yield fell from 4,809% to 4,192%, while the bid to cover stood at 2,7, equal to that of the previous auction.
