Spain Places Nearly 4Bn Bonos, But Yields Still Over 5%

The Madrid Treasury has placed all of the 3,75 billion euros it had promised to sell in this morning's auction – But yields remain at the highest levels reached since euro entry – 3-year bonds have recorded a interest of 5,203%, those at 4 years at 5,28% and those at 5 years at 5,56%.

Spain Places Nearly 4Bn Bonos, But Yields Still Over 5%

Busy day for the pockets of Spain. The Treasury of Madrid placed this morning 3,75 billion in 3, 4 and 5 year government bonds. Demand was excellent, exceeding 10,2 billion euros: the maximum issue was reached in the auction, which fluctuated between 2,75 and 3,75 billion euros.
