Sotheby's Milano opens the 2020 jewelery sales season with the Jewels Online auction, enriched by private collections of the most sought-after and prestigious national and international brands.

Sotheby's Milano is ready to open next Jewels Online, from 6 to 17 March 2020, with 170 lots. A session dedicated to jewels belonging to prestigious Italian and international brands, such as Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Ferrari and Pederzani.

Sotheby's is an Anglo-Saxon auction house with hundreds of branches around the world, whose historic headquarters are located in London. In recent years, thanks to the expansion of the internet, the company has managed to double its sales. So much so that between 2008 and 2017, both the value of jewelry sales and attendees increased considerably. 

The international auction house has previewed a selection of jewels that will be auctioned during the online auction in March, including a pair of diamond pendant earrings with emeralds drop cut. Green, which for the ancients was the color of rebirth, stands out for its brightness and transparency. Estimate 25.000-35.000 euros.

Among the most valuable lots is a futuristic diamond ring signed Dig, in which the elegance and exclusivity of the design stands out. Estimate 28.000 – 38.000 euros.

Bulgari presents a leaf-shaped brooch with a ladybug embellished with diamonds, chalcedony, onyx and coral, whose estimate 1.500 – 2.500 euros.

Between the collection Bulgari spizza “Allegra”, the colorful jeweled demi-parure. The set consists of a necklace, ring, bracelet and a pair of earrings, set with diamonds, cultured pearls, tourmalines, quartz, peridots and topaz. Estimate 25.000 – 35.000 euros.

Wonderful examples of French craftsmanship, such as the floral set composed of a brooch and earrings by Van Cleef&Arpels in wood and diamonds, whose Estimate is 9.000 – 12.000 euros.

The auction also offers about thirty twins with estimates from 500 to 2.000 euros, such as the Stittgen in gold in the shape of a car (in the photo), with an approximate weight of 42 grams. “An extravagant journey into the elegance of the male universe with examples of fine goldsmithing”, as defined by the jewelery specialist Sara Miconi. Together, a nucleus of Artist Jewels, among which, in addition to Dalì and Arnaldo Pomodoro, will be on sale jewels signed by Giorgio Facchini, Germano, NadoCanuti, Sebastiano Ballo, estimate 1.500 – 4.000 euros.

Among cufflinks and men's accessories, we find a selection of jewels from the Ferrari Collection, a small group of "collectibles", with a value ranging from 500 to 3.000 euros. Among them, a couple of scale engine models: a copy of the engine A.67.90 Boxer 312 F1 (left in the photo), and a copy of the V.52.90 Boxer 312 F1 engine (right in the photo).
