Sotheby's, the Milanese appointment with Online Contemporary Art

Contemporary Art Online will take place from 7 to 18 February 2020 and is the fifth online appointment that Sotheby's Italia offers to collectors.

Works by Italian and international artists such as Alighiero Boetti, Sol LeWitt, Maurizio Cattelan, Vanessa Beecroft, Paola Pivi, Jeanne Dunning and many others.

Among the highlights of the sale, we point out a tapestry by Alighiero Boetti, Five x five twenty-five, embroidery on canvas, executed around 1988, with a starting estimate of 20.000 – 30.000 euros. Fondazione Oblomov, by Maurizio Cattelan, an etched glass, with lead seal and rope, executed in Sam Samore, The Killers, photographic print mounted on aluminium, 89×157.7 cm, executed in 1999. Estimate: 8,000 – 12,000 euros. Part of the work has an estimate of 2,000 – 3,000 euros.
Sol LeWitt, protagonist of conceptual art and minimalism, will be at auction with Horizontal lines, gouache on paper from 2005, with an estimate of 18.000-24.000 euros. After the recent successes of his performances in the field of fashion, Sotheby's offers a work by Vanessa Beecroft. It is a pencil and marker on paper, Untitled (Hand), executed in 1994 with a starting estimate of 600-800 euros.

Furthermore, Carla Accardi with Bianconero, performed in 1992. It is a vinyl on canvas. The estimate is 10,000 – 15,000 euros.
Hans Hartung will be present with a work from 1984. This cartoon with pastels has an estimate of 12.000-18.000 euros.
Paola Pivi, winner of the Golden Lion at the 1999 Venice Biennale, is among the protagonists of this online sale. Her work, 100 Chinese, a photographic print mounted on aluminium, executed in 1998, will be sold from 7 to 18 February with an estimate of 10.000 – 15.000 euros.
A photographic print by Diego Perrone, with an estimate of 20.000 – 24.000 euros.
Yet, Sam Samore with a photographic print (cover photo) entitled The Killers, from 1999. This 89×157 cm aluminum photograph starts from an estimate of 8.000 – 12.000 euros.
And finally, works by Jaenne Dunning, Dave Muller, Massimo Bartolini, Alik Cavaliere, Carlo Mattioli, Giorgio Griffa and Emilio Scanavino.
