Sustainability: Terna reconfirmed in the MIB ESG index for Italy

Terna at the top of sustainability. The company led by Stefano Donnarumma was included, for the second consecutive year, in the MIB ESG, the blue-chip index for Italy, with the top tier being “advanced”. The index – created last year – combines the measurement of economic performance, with ESG impacts, in line with the principles of Global Compact of the United Nations, evaluating and selecting companies based on the results of the periodic assessment conducted by the ESG rating agency Vigeo Eiris (VE), part of Moody's ESG Solutions, which measures around 300 indicators, relating to 38 sustainability criteria.

What is the Mib ESG Index

They are part of the MIB ESG the top 40 Italian listed companies - on a basis of 60 most liquid companies - that meet the Environmental, Social and Governance criteria. Consequently, companies operating activities that are not compatible with this type of investment are excluded.

The index is reviewed every three months, with the aim, if necessary, of understanding those companies that have demonstrated improvements compared to the previous evaluation.

The survey consists of different levels of analysis and investigates the environmental, social and governance performance of a company through a structured process that takes into account specific KPIs (e.g. employee turnover rate; direct emissions of CO2; percentage of women in management) and the policies implemented (e.g. Code of Ethics; Human Rights Policy; Diversity promotion policy). The final judgment is divided into four different bands.

Terna included in all the main ESG indices
