Sustainability: Starace (Enel) in the UN top 30

Enel's CEO, Francesco Starace, has joined the United Nations' Global Investors for Sustainable Development (GISD) Alliance, responding to the invitation that the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, addressed to 30 top managers. The goal is to contribute over the next two years to the financing of sustainable development goals, promoting long-term investments.

“We are working to further strengthen cooperation with other global companies and unlock funding to achieve the SDGs – said Starace – as sustainability is a driving factor for long-term value creation. At Enel we have fully integrated sustainability into our business model and operations, increasing the company's profitability. Looking to the future, the GISD Alliance will provide the tool to accelerate private sector commitment to sustainable business models and enable sustainable finance to ignite social, economic and environmental improvement around the world.”
