Important recognitions from the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index in terms of environmental commitment for the main Italian groups – Enel's world leadership rewarded

Sustainability Dow Jones: Enel first in the world, Poste, Intesa, Hera, Pirelli also do well

Enel is the first company in the world for sustainability, according to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) which this year recognized the Italian group a milestone never achieved in the 17 years of Enel's presence in the index. Specifically, the company obtained a score greater than 90/100 in over 70% of the criteria, among which some of the most significant are the climate strategy and market opportunities, two criteria aimed at evaluating the performance of electric utilities in the lead the transition to a low carbon energy model. In addition, Enel was awarded first position in the DJSI Europe, in the "Electric Utilities" sector, and second worldwide in the entire Dow Jones Sustainability Indices family for the same sector.

Not only Enel has obtained the important recognition for its environmental commitment. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index awarded for example Ivy as the first Italian multi-utility to be included in the prestigious index, while Intesa Sanpaolo it is for the tenth consecutive year the only Italian bank included in the ranking. Also confirmed the presence of Pirelli, which is the world leader in Sustainability for the Automobiles & Components sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe indices, and of Poste Italiane.
