If it is true that those who know how to focus carefully on the stock market will be able to receive some satisfaction, it is unfortunately equally true that the perception of operators on the real economy and on the state of health of the markets is actually very different from what economists have been claiming for some time and analysts – Half of them believe in a flat stock market.

Sole 24 Ore-Forex survey: according to financial operators, no recovery in 2013

Economic recovery within this year? Those who believe in it will be disappointed, at least according to a survey conducted by 'Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor' in collaboration with Assiom Forex on the occasion of the 19th conference of financial market operators held in Bergamo last weekend.

If it is true that those who know how to bet carefully on the stock market will be able to receive some satisfaction, it is unfortunately equally true that operators' perception of the real economy and the state of health of the markets is actually very different from what economists and analysts have been claiming for some time. The most evident difference concerns above all the outlook for the economy. The majority (58%) of the 490 members of the association who took part in the survey do not in fact believe that the expected recovery of the real economy will be seen in the second half of this year.

However, 42% of those questioned by the survey still remain confident. According to a large majority of operators, Piazza Affari is destined to consolidate the current values, without however being particularly influenced by the long wave of the Dow Jones, which has returned in recent weeks to its pre-crisis levels. According to 51% of those who responded to the survey, the Italian Stock Exchange will in fact not register significant movements compared to current prices, a percentage which is however joined by 39% of those who believe that the list will mark a rebound, even a substantial one. Only 10% expect a drop in the price list.
