La Consob this morning started an inspection at the Milan office of the Sun 24 Hours, after the group closed the first half with a loss of 50 million euros and the accounts pushed the president to resign George Squinzi with five board members.
In recent days, the Milan prosecutor's office has opened an investigation file "model 45", i.e. without the hypothesis of a crime and suspects, on the group's accounting situation.
Furthermore, according to some rumors, the managing director of the group, Gabriel Del Torchio, would have returned to the company after an absence due to health problems, but only to deal with the conditions of his exit from the scene.
But we will have to wait the shareholders' meeting on November 14th to find out about the management and the destiny that Confindustria defined for Il Sole 24 Ore in the General Council of last 12 October.
Despite the news of the inspection this morning the stock on the stock exchange of the publishing group recovers 3,6%, to 0,349 euro.
