Solar Ventures: Bper loan for two new photovoltaic plants in Lazio and Sardinia. In operation in 2023

Solar Ventures expands its renewable production capacity in Lazio and Sardinia. The Milanese company has in fact obtained a financing of 9,3 million euro from the BPER Group which will be used for the construction of two new photovoltaic plants in the industrial area in Pontinia (Latina) and Ittiri (Sassari). The first 7,8 MegaWatt (MW) plant is financed directly by Bper Banca while the second, of 1,1 MW, through Banco di Sardegna.

The construction phase of the projects, which have had access to sixth GSE auction, will be launched shortly - specifies a note from the Milanese company - while entry into operation is scheduled for March 2023. When fully operational, the plants will produce a total of 13,5 GigaWatt hours (GWh) of energy per year, avoiding the emission of 5805 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere and will remain the property of Solar Ventures, strengthening the portfolio and the presence of the Italian territory from part of the company.

Michael Appendino, CEO of Solar Ventures, underlines that “renewable sources represent the key to accelerating the path of decarbonization and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. This is above all an environmental need, but also a geopolitical and economic one. This is confirmed by the plans for the energy transition of Italy and the European Union in which, moreover, photovoltaics play a primary role”.

In the transaction Solar Ventures made use of the GOP law firm (Gianni & Origoni) as legal advisor and EOS Consulting as a technical consultant, while WideGroup she was involved in insurance consultancy. TO Comal instead, the construction of the plants was entrusted using the epc-m formula (engineering, procurement, construction, and management).
