Sogin: last days to visit nuclear power plants
Reservations for visits to nuclear power plants, an initiative launched by Sogin with the "Open gate" operation, are about to end. The visit to the plants, which are currently being dismantled, is scheduled for May 16 and 17 and registrations for Latina are already full. Those interested in visiting the plants of Garigliano (Caserta), Trino (Vercelli) and Caorso (Piacenza) can still book on the site www.sogin.it attaching a copy of the identification document and entering your data.

"The objective - explains a statement from Sogin - make known the work carried out daily to complete the dismantling of nuclear plants, in compliance with the criteria of maximum safety, and to raise awareness on the issue of radioactive waste management, from their storage in depots temporary to the definitive placement in the National Repository. Indeed, its creation will allow us to close the nuclear cycle in our country”. The operation "Open Gate", the first of its kind, intends to confirm the commitment "to ensure information, transparency and participation".
Over the two days, the four plants will be able to welcome a total of nearly three thousand visitors.
On each day and for each visit itinerary, which lasts about two hours, it will be possible to book for one of the various shifts scheduled from morning until late afternoon.
