Sogefi, a company of the CIR group, brought its revenues to an all-time record in 2011: +25%

Sales, despite the slowdown in the global economy, were driven in the fourth quarter by the acquisition of Systèmes Moteurs, consolidated in August, and by the organic growth of the business – The group's expansion in non-European countries continues: revenues up significantly in North America (+266%), China (+36%) and India (+37%).

Another milestone for the De Benedetti family. Sogefi approved the 2011 financial statements, to the great satisfaction of the chairman Rodolfo De Benedetti. The Group recorded revenues of 1.158 million euros, reaching the highest level in its thirty-year history. Revenues in 2011 were therefore up by 25,3% compared to the 924,7 million euros in 2010. On a like-for-like basis, revenues would have been equal to 1.021,2 million euros, with a growth of 10,4 %. Pro-forma revenues, including the activities of Systèmes Moteurs from 1 January 2011, amounted to 1.335 million euros.

This result was achieved thanks to the acquisition of the assets of Systèmes Moteurs SAS and the organic growth of the group's businesses. Despite the complex market scenario and the drop in demand that occurred in the last part of the year, the acquisition of Systèmes Moteurs has enabled Sogefi to achieve important results, mainly including greater penetration in North America, China and India. 

In 2011 automotive components company of the CIR group continued its growth process in non-European markets, with significant progress in Mercosur (+9,6%), North America (+266,1% thanks to the contribution of Systèmes Moteurs; +46,1% on a like-for-like basis), China (+36,4%) and India (+37,6%).
