Italian companies, board: Michele Colaninno the youngest, Wanda Ferragamo the senior

At the end of 2015, the youngest Italian company manager is Michele Colaninno, general manager of Immsi, a holding company in the real estate and naval sector based in Rome, while the oldest is Wanda Ferragamo Minetti, honorary president of Ferragamo. Between them there are 55 years of difference: the son of art is the only one under 40 (he's 39), followed by the 40-year-olds of Exor and Snam. John Elkann and Marco Alverà, while the wife of Salvatore, founder of the fashion house, is 94 and is still present in the family business.

To draw up the ranking of the youngest and oldest executives, as well as the average age of the boards, is theMediobanca R&D yearbook, which thus completes the top ten "green" Italian management: Alessandro Nasi (vice president of Exor, 42), Azzurra Caltagirone (vice president of the Caltagirone group, 43), Massimo Vian (Luxottica, 43), Massimiliano Bianco (Iren, 44) , Veronica Buzzi (Buzzi Unicem, 44), Matteo Colaninno (Piaggio, 45), and the vice president of Moncler Sandrine Sarah Virginie Morgon with 46 years.

All well under 50, while the older ones are all close to 80 or over: after Wanda Ferragamo Minetti is a historic manager of the old guard, the 85-year-old Giampiero Pesenti of Italmobiliare, then Carlo Carlevaris (Cementir, 84 years old) , Charles DeBenedetti (L'Espresso, 81), Giuseppe Vita (Unicredit, 81), Leonardo Del Vecchio and Luigi Francavilla (president and deputy of Luxottica, 81 and 79), Fedele Confalonieri (Mediaset, 78), Enrico Buzzi (Buzzi Unicem, 78) , Giuseppe De' Longhi (De' Longhi, 77).

As regards the average age of the boards, the presence of Lady Ferragamo obviously affects the company of the same name whose board of directors appears to have an average age of 66,5 years, while the Del Vecchio-Francavilla couple does not weigh too much on Luxottica which is among the lowest with an average of 57,2 years. The "youngest" company by far is Acea, the only one with an average board age of less than 50 years, while Exor and Terna they are respectively 50,6 and 50,9 years old. The oldest boards after Ferragamo are those of Edizione (64,9 years), Cir and Prada (both 63,4).
