The second edition of the program ended in Milan Open Innovation di Snam to accelerate innovation, Snaminnova.
Snaminnova was born with the idea of stimulate entrepreneurship e search for innovative startups promoting the culture of innovation. The program aims to enhance knowledge and experience inside and outside the company thanks to "Center of Ideas" which aims to find the best innovative ideas to encourage the Sustainable Development of the local ecosystem, Snam people and partners.
It was the idea that won the Innovation Day “CO2 Vault” with a project for creating certificates of origin for biogenic CO2 from Snam biogas and biomethane plants.
The winning team will have the opportunity to get to know Barcelona's innovation ecosystem through a personalized journey and, together with Snaminnova, will be able to follow up on the idea by channeling it within the corporate context and supporting its further development.
The other two finalist ideas were “ESG Profiles”, with a system for evaluating suppliers who adopt ESG policies, e “Poseidon”, which aims to safeguard Mediterranean marine environments through conservation or recovery activities of oceanic posidonia.
Among the activities of Snaminnova also falls "Hyaccelerator", the global accelerator program for hydrogen-focused startups.
Carbon Neutral event
Innovation Day was a carbon neutral event: thanks to the contribution of renovat, the subsidiary of Snam which operates in energy efficiency, e Arbolia, a benefit company that develops urban forestation initiatives in Italy.
Snam is committed to calculate and offset the climate-changing gas emissions of the entire initiative and the activities connected to it, from the movement of guests to the energy consumption of the room, up to the disposal of any waste.
