Snam: 2012 net profit of 992 million (+1,4%), dividend of 0,25 euro

Operating profit for 2012 amounted to 2.111 million euros, an increase of 153 million euros, or 7,8%, compared to 2011 – Revenues, on the other hand, increased by 11,6% to 3.621 million EUR.

Snam archive 2012 with a Adjusted net profit of €992 million, up 1,4% on 2011. The company's Board of Directors has decided to propose to the shareholders' meeting the distribution of a dividend of 0,25 euro per share (0,24 in 2011), of which 0,10 euro per share already distributed last October to down payment and another 0,15 euros starting from 23 May 2013.

THEoperating profit for 2012 amounted to 2.111 million euros, an increase of 153 million euros, equal to 7,8%, compared to 2011. The revenues however, they recorded a growth of 11,6% to 3.621 million euro. The Ebit grows by 7,8%, to 2,1 billion, while the investments technicians stand at 1,3 billion. Net financial debt at December 31, 2012 amounted to 12.398 million euros (11.197 million euros at December 31, 2011).

The main management guidelines envisage “the growth of the business through the construction of important new gas infrastructures in Italy and the evaluation of strategic development opportunities in Europe”. The demand for natural gas on the Italian market for 2013 is forecast at the level of 2012.

Snam plans to increase “the flexibility and safety of the transportation system in Italy and meet the needs related to the development of gas demand in the medium and long term; continue to improve the quality of the transport service; develop the gas balancing market”. As for distribution, the company intends to carry out selective management of the concessions portfolio in order to maximize profitability.

This morning at the opening in Piazza Affari, the Snam share gains 0,4%.
