Snam launches half a billion "Climate Action Bond".

Snam threw a “Climate Action Bonds“. The value of the issue is equal to 500 million euro. This is the first bond of its kind in Europe.

Compared to the traditional Green Bond, the Climate Action Bond has a broader horizon, because it aims to finance or refinance both green investments (in the case of Snam, biomethane and energy efficiency), both those and improve the environmental impact (as part of the Snamtec project, the group has a plan to reduce its methane emissions by 25% by 2025).

Snam was recently admitted to the "Corporate Forum for sustainable finance”, which brings together European companies committed to creating a network of information and ideas for the development of sustainable finance, linked to projects that generate a positive impact on the environment.

At the end of the morning Snam stock on the Stock Exchange travels up by 0,7%, to 4,198 euros, in contrast with the Ftse Mib, which in the same minutes was in the red by 0,5%.
