Snam: loan of 150 million from the EIB

The European Investment Bank has granted Snam a loan of 150 million euros, resources that will be used to support the group's energy efficiency projects in the residential and industrial sectors. The company led by Marco Alverà made it known by announcing the signing of the loan agreement.

Going into detail, this is a loan characterized by a "framework loan" type structure, which can be used in several tranches within a three-year period. Each tranche will have one maximum total duration of 15 years. The contract refers to initiatives for a total of 200 million euros envisaged by Renovat group, the new energy efficiency platform 70% controlled by Snam and 30% owned by Cdo Equity.

From a financial point of view, the activities concern the energy requalification of residential buildings and the implementation of energy efficiency and decarbonisation measures for industrial activities, including the installation of photovoltaic panels.

Renovit “promotes the energy efficiency of condominiums, companies and public administration and contributes to the achievement of the national energy efficiency objectives by 2030 and to the decarbonisation of the economic system", underlines Snam, explaining that the funding is in line with the energy priorities and the climate objectives of the European Union and is compatible with the EU Taxonomy on sustainable activities.

At Piazza Affari the Snam share gains 0,6% to 5,098 euros against an equal Ftse Mib.
