Snam has signed a 135 million euro loan with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for various projects to replacement and modernization of pipelines and plants for the transport and storage of natural gas. These initiatives are aimed at making the national network increasingly secure, efficient and flexible.
The funding will be a fixed rate of 1,372%, maturing in December 2038, and is part of Snam's policy of optimizing the financial structure, as it is complementary to bond and bank loans, and characterized by a longer duration and competitive costs. The business plan presented by the company that manages the gas network in November, and valid until 2022, provides for a total of 5,7 billion in investments.
