Snam: Alverà is coming. Eni reduces stake

From ENI to Snam. After exiting Six Legged Dog, Marco Alvera becomes Snam general manager. This was announced by the company with a press release in which it specifies that the decision was taken by the Board of Directors with effect from 15 January 2016. Marco Alverà supervises, reporting to the managing director, integrating the necessary corporate functions, the strengthening of the promotion and growth of the group in support of Snam's strategic evolution in the international and domestic natural gas scenario”, underlines the press release. Alverà, he adds, "has distinctive experience in the natural gas business and, more generally, in the energy sector": he worked for Enel and then for Terna before moving to Eni where, "between 2005 and 2015 he managed the most important national and international dossiers in the natural gas business”.

The appointment of Alverà is not the only novelty of this part of the year for Snam. There stake held by the Eni group has in fact decreased from 8,537% to 4,966%. The change, which emerged from Consob communications, took place on 28 December and is due to the conversion of the bond loan launched by Eni in January 2013 with a three-year term. The bond, at an annual rate of 0,625% provided for a conversion price of 4,33 euros, with a premium of 20% compared to the price of 3,6 euros at the time of placement. Yesterday Snam was among the few stocks in Piazza Affari bucking the trend, up 0,41%.
