Smartphone: the future of finance is in apps

60% of young people use banking and insurance services on their smartphones - Young people ask for functions to easily manage the policy (83%), to call for help and receive immediate assistance in case of need (82%), to report accidents and follow the process on the smartphone (75%), to contact customer service (73%) and to purchase the policy via the App

For young people, finance almost always translates into an App: this is what the survey "Stethoscope - How Italian policyholders feel", promoted by the online insurance company QUIXA and conducted by the research institute MPS Evolving Marketing Research, reveals this. As many as 60,5% of those interviewed between the ages of 25 and 34 declare that they use at least one application for smartphones or tablets to manage their current accounts, insurance or other financial services. Even those who do not use apps would be inclined to do so, if banks and insurance companies were able to really intercept their needs: 73% of young people who do not use financial applications, in fact, avoid them because they find that the proposed functions are not useful enough .

When it comes to insurance, in particular, what does the user ask of an App for the future? First of all, to simplify the management of the policy and to receive quick and punctual help when needed. About 83% of young Italians would like an application to remind them of the expiry of their insurance, allow them to verify receipt of the documents sent, signal promotions and useful information. Nearly 82% find it essential to have the ability to call for help and receive immediate assistance if needed. Claims management is in third place among the most popular functions: over 75% would like to have the opportunity to file a complaint and follow the process directly from their smartphone. Contact with customer service is a function appreciated by 73% of respondents. Finally, one out of two young Italians is interested in purchasing the policy via the App.
