The goal of 3DEN is to accelerate the modernization of electricity distribution systems and the efficient use of resources through energy investment policies, regulations, technologies and guidelines.

I four projects selected by Unep they will be implemented in Brazil, Colombia, India and Morocco and will help to acquire knowledge, test new approaches and disseminate good practices in the field of energy efficiency with a direct benefit for people's lives and for the environment. Particular focus will be given to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The Planet Smart City project in Brazil

Il pilot project of Planet Smart City will be built at Smart City Lagoon, in the State of Ceara, in one of the smart neighborhoods that the company is developing in Brazil. They will be photovoltaic panels installed, energy storage systems e digital management capabilities of energy in 150 homes. The project will receive a one million dollar grant and will be completed within two years. Digital services will be enriched by gamification logics to encourage behavioral changes and spread energy awareness among residents. Smart sensors they will record the information on electrical systems and will provide warnings directly to residents via thePlanet App application. This will allow them to adapt energy consumption to your needs, reducing waste and unnecessary expenses. Planet Smart City will carry out the project in collaboration with EOT (Energy of Things) Italian company specialized in digital and artificial intelligence solutions applied to the energy sector.

"L 'to have been selected with one of our projects is reason to particular satisfactionboth because the decision was made by two world-class organizations and because it demonstrates theeffectiveness of our approach to sustainability issues and the validity of the solutions we are adopting in our developments. The objective of this experimentation is to test the integration of energy efficient solutions in the affordable housing market, demonstrating that they are sustainable not only from an ecological point of view but also from an economic point of view” he declared John Savio, Global CEO of planet smart city.

“The recognition received from UNEP offers Planet a concrete opportunity to bring innovation into the daily life of its residents and once again confirms the validity of Planet Smart City's strategic lines of research and development. The interaction with the International Energy Agency (IEA) will give prominence and resonance to the environmental, social and economic impacts that we expect to see in this project and to be able to replicate in other smart neighborhoods, thus helping to raise the quality standard of affordable housing in the world,” he commented Graziella Rockella, Planet Smart City's Chief Research & Product Design Officer.
