The Italian electricity giant and the Chinese company will establish a cooperation on electric mobility, smart grids and renewables.

Smart city and green energy: Enel signs an agreement with the Chinese company ZTE

Enel and ZTE Corporation have signed an agreement to establish cooperation in the fields of electric mobility, smart grids and renewables. The agreement was signed by Enel CEO Francesco Starace and his counterpart in the Chinese company Shi Lirong. 

The CEO of the Italian group expressed his satisfaction: "We are pleased to announce this new agreement with ZTE Corporation, one of the main players in the IT sector". “Enel – continues Starace – will have access to the technological know-how of ZTE, in turn making available its wealth of experience in renewable energies, electric mobility and smart grids”.

The collaboration, as mentioned, concerns three sectors: in the field of electric mobility, the two companies intend to initiate an exchange of information on their respective technological solutions to optimize vehicle recharging, while as regards smart grids, the possibility is to in new markets, using solutions and technologies implemented by Enel.

As for renewable energies, according to the agreement Enel and ZTE aim to identify optimization opportunities on various projects already started by Enel, integrating them with the best IT solutions available.
