Difficult second quarter for Siemens: the German group saw its orders increase by 20%, to 21,5 billion euros, thanks in particular to important contracts won in the offshore wind and railway sectors, but the quarterly turnover slipped by 7% to 18 billion euros.
Net profit, on the other hand, rose by 10% to 1,03 billion euros, but the figure is in any case lower than the analysts' expectations, and its growth can be largely explained by the fact that in the previous quarter Siemens had to deal with with the costs related to the subsidiary Nokia Siemens Networks.
