Safety in the workplace: agreement between the Turin Industrial Union and Inail Piedmont

Support companies in carrying out prevention initiatives and thus provide integrated responses to health needs e job security, also in the recovery phase which will have to be driven by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). This is the objective of the new three-year protocol signed by the Unione Industriali Torino and Inail Piemonte.

Specifically, the agreement aims to contribute to the reduction of the accident and technopathic phenomenon through the conclusion of specific implementation agreements to develop initiatives in support of prevention involving, if necessary, other institutional subjects, starting with local schools.

Activities will focus on three areas:

  • communication and promotion of health and safety in the workplace, in particular through the joint organization of dissemination events and seminars;
  • design of information and training programs aimed at all corporate roles;
  • implementation of projects at local level, aimed at developing a network for the dissemination of technical-scientific knowledge related to the accident prevention system, to be implemented also through the promotion of targeted interventions to support companies that want to share experimentations with high-tech solutions.

“Occupational safety is a priority for our companies and for the Association, which has always been very active in developing training initiatives and widespread information on this crucial issue. Thanks to the protocol just signed – he declared Angelo Capetti, director of the Turin Industrial Union – we will be able to accelerate even further in the deepening and dissemination of the culture of prevention and safety both in the factories and in the offices”.

John Asaro, Inail regional director, added: “In this difficult period caused by the pandemic and the unexpected international crisis, but with the constant implementation of the PNRR, safety at work is an even more urgent objective for companies. In particular - continued Asaro - we will try to create a privileged channel for local businesses, to guarantee them a further contribution whose added value is represented by the specific skills and professional, technical and instrumental resources of the Institute and of the Union Industriali Torino, essential for carrying out innovative interventions that can possibly be replicated in similar corporate realities, with important repercussions in terms of the number of subjects involved.”
