Royal Dutch Shell announced on Monday the appointment of the new CEO for the Upstream business in Italy. We are talking about Marco Marsili, who took up the position of CEO of Shell Italia E&P on 2021 November, succeeding Marco Brun, who remains Country Manager for Italy for the moment. The group communicates it in a note, specifying that starting from XNUMX January XNUMX Marsili will also cover the role of Country Manager.

“Marco Marsili, 52 years old, has a degree in Mining Engineering and has been working for Shell since 2002 – continues the note – He held various roles in various Group companies, initially as a commercial manager in the United Kingdom and in Italy, and then dealing with Mergers and Acquisitions in Shell Energy Europe, in the Netherlands. From 2010 to 2015 he worked in the Middle East, where he was responsible for a major project in the natural gas sector in Iraq. He has worked in the United States for the past five years, first as VP New Business Development North America and Brazil, then as VP Commercial New Basins within Shales operations.”
