Enel has concluded a agreement with Bird Rides Italy to promote new solutions of sharing of electric scooters.
Bird was inaugurated in conjunction with the Formula E Rome E-Prix, 12 13 and April and on Friday 12 April the first shared electric scooter arrived with which a "test" along the Grand Prix track.
The purpose of this partnership is to bring a solution to Italy sustainable transport which responds to two very current challenges that cities around the world are facing: traffic and pollution.
Thanks to an amendment approved in the last Budget Law, Bird's scooters will soon be available. THE charging points public Enel X will in fact become real "nests" for scooters, offering the possibility to those who use it to park it, put it in charge and continue on another scooter.
bird is aAmerican company founded in 2017, already operates in over 100 cities in the US and Europe. Bird has all the characteristics to become an integral part of the mobility system of Italian cities, in close collaboration with local administrations.
HOW DOES BIRD WORK?
To use it will be necessary download the free application from the Apple Store or Google Play, locate the electric scooter closest, scan the code on the handlebar to unlock it and lead it to the desired destination.
Once the journey is finished the vehicle must be parked in a safe place. The estimated cost is 1 euro for unlocking of the scooter and a rate per minute.
