Tax relief for home burglar alarms

(Teleborsa) – In the summer the desire for holidays grows and with it i fears of home burglariesdespite the decline in complaints. According to data from the Interior Ministry, in fact, growth would have stopped in 2014 while in 2015 there was even a contraction to 233.730 (-8,7 percent compared to the previous year). A trend confirmed in the first months of this year. Between January and April 2016, reports of burglaries in apartments fell by 15,9 percent compared to the same period in 2015.

Censis has calculated that, in 2015, 689 apartments were burglarized per day, i.e. 29 per hour, one every two minutes. In addition to the many who have suffered one or more criminal "invasions", there is no Italian who does not have a relative, a friend, an acquaintance whose house has been burgled.

The decline in complaints could therefore also be determined by a sense of frustration among citizens. Only 2,7 percent of criminals are brought to justice. Furthermore, the penalties would be light, so much so that, to put a stop to this delinquent phenomenon, the Minister of Justice, Andrea Orlando, has recently restarted the debate on their tightening to bring the foreseen years of imprisonment from one to six.

Meanwhile, the number of far-sighted Italians is growing: according to a research by Ipsos commissioned by the Milan Fair, in Italy three out of four families have installed an anti-theft system, albeit a simple armored door.

The do-it-yourself, the neighbor or providence, previously called to help, are being replaced, albeit slowly, by more technologically advanced protection systems, reports CNA Installation and Systems, glimpsing a change of mentality thanks also to the opportunity to take advantage of tax relief. Regular invoices issued for the materials purchased and the work carried out by a professional, as well as the payment made by bank transfer, are in fact essential requirements to take advantage of the tax relief recognized for building renovations, equal to half the expense.
