Serie A: the first three win, Inter redeem themselves

Juventus, Roma and Napoli take home the three points and become the leading trio, three days after the direct clash between the black and whites and the Neapolitans – Inter recovers, which for now saves De Boer from the bench.

Serie A: the first three win, Inter redeem themselves

I win the top three in the standings and Inter emerge – for now – from the crisis. This in summary in the verdict of the Serie A midweek round, waiting for Palermo-Udinese and in the aftermath of Milan's resounding defeat in Genoa. In the week leading up to Juventus-Napoli both contenders win: the bianconeri liquidate Sampdoria 4-1 at home, with a brace from Chiellini and the return of goals from Mandzukic and Pjanic. Napoli struggled a little more, taking more than one time to break the deadlock against Empoli, still risking something in defense but then bringing home the 2-0 with Mertens and Chiriches.

Between Juve and Naples, however, there is another team, Roma, which currently seems to be the real anti-Juve: the Giallorossi conquered a difficult field like that of Sassuolo, overcoming the initial disadvantage and imposing themselves 3-1 with a another brace from Dzeko and a goal from Nainggolan. Roma are therefore confirmed in second place, exactly halfway between Juventus on 24 points and Napoli on 20. Lazio also climbs back, which after the flop in Turin liquidates Cagliari at home and threatens Milan's fourth place. Golden moment for Atalanta, who also win in Pescara and are currently sixth in the standings, right in the European zone. Redemption by Inter, who have a bad time against Toro but then take home the three points thanks to a goal by Icardi in the 88th minute.
