Serie A, revolution on the bench: Gattuso also leaves

Apart from Naples, with the very confirmed Carlo Ancelotti, Serie A, especially the high-ranking ones but not only, has learned about a real revolution on the bench. After the farewell of Massimiliano Allegri and the imminent one of Luciano Spalletti, today's news is that Rino Gattuso is no longer the coach of Milan. The farewell was in the air and is paired with that of sports director Leonardo, both for differences with the club, while the position of Paolo Maldini remains in the balance. By presenting his resignation, Ringhio will renounce his two-year contract: "Yes – confirmed the now former AC Milan coach to Repubblica.it – because my history with Milan can never be a question of money". For his succession, the name that is circulating hot is that of Marco Giampaolo, who will most likely not continue his relationship with Sampdoria.

But the farewells don't stop there: Cesare Prandelli will not continue, by mutual agreement, at Genoa, despite the salvation achieved in an almost fortuitous way. His place could be taken by Leonardo Semplici from Spal. Great movements also at Atalanta: after the euphoria for qualifying for the Champions League, now the priority is to build a team up to it and it is not certain that Gian Piero Gasperini and the top management of the club are in tune on the same frequency. For the former Genoa and Inter coach, the rumors of a move to Rome are increasingly insistent, with a sort of virtual relay that would see Eusebio Di Francesco, Giallorossi coach until a few months ago, on the Nerazzurri bench.

As far as Juventus and Inter are concerned, the farewells of their respective coaches (Allegri's has been official for some time, Spalletti's is still virtual) are having opposite consequences: if the Nerazzurri are in fact about to formalize Antonio Conte, with a super contract worth 36 million for three years and an agreement on the word already reached weeks ago, the choice of the new Juventus coach would still seem to be on the high seas. The company says it has clear ideas and is waiting for the end of the European competitions to be official: that's why the name cannot fail to appear among those of Maurizio Sarri, Mauricio Pochettino and – improbable but not impossible – Jurgen Klopp. For Allegri, on the other hand, a sabbatical year is expected, even if the Spanish press claims that Barcelona are about to sack Valverde: in his place either Emery, or Koeman or even the Tuscan coach would go.
