The choice of the second state office, which came as a surprise and only a few months after the end of the legislature, would have been dictated by dissent on the new electoral law. It is not excluded that he will present himself as leader of the Mdp in the next elections
Meanwhile, the Movimento Democrati e Progressisti applauds Grasso's choice: "Those who serve the state often find themselves faced with difficult choices and it is precisely for this reason that I appreciate the sense of institutions always shown by the President of the Senate - declares Roberto Speranza - I deeply respect the decision to leave the Pd group after the last very serious choices made.
