Eliminate from the panorama of cooperatives those that do not have the necessary requisites. Two laws in the Senate – one from the Lombardy region and the other with Massimo Caleo of the Democratic Party as its first signatory – have the same objective: the fight against false cooperatives.
In essence, the texts, substantially similar, contemplate the sanction of cancellation from the Register of Italian cooperatives, set up at the Ministry of Economic Development, for cooperative enterprises that have not been subjected to the foreseen reviews and inspections: the consequence will be the dissolution by deed of the authority and the devolution of assets to mutual funds for the promotion and development of cooperation.

Among these, the phenomenon of the maximum reduction in tenders which inevitably favors companies that do not respect the national collective labor agreements signed by the most representative trade union and employer organizations; the issue of legality; the "governance" of cooperatives, strengthening the participation of members in the decision-making processes of their companies, also to provide them with the appropriate tools aimed at removing directors who, through illegitimate or inauthentic behavior from a mutualistic point of view, damage the cooperative and the members themselves .
