Another step forward towards the final approval of the simplification decree. The confidence placed by the government passed in the Senate with 246 votes in favour, 33 against and 2 abstentions. On Monday 2 April, the decree will return to the Chamber of Deputies, in third reading. The measure, modified with the rules on the liberalization of the last mile of the fixed telecommunications network, which will be led by Agcom, and with the measures on the financing of the fund for natural disasters, which could lead to an increase in national excise duties on fuel, therefore returns to the examination of the Chamber.
Final approval must take place by (Holy) Monday 9 April. According to the wishes of the Minister of Public Administration, Filippo Patroni Griffi, the definitive go-ahead should already arrive on Tuesday 3 April.
