Sea-Enac, new program contract signed

The signing of the new program contract between ENAC (National Civil Aviation Authority) and SEA (Airport Exercise Company) has arrived. The agreement has a ten-year term and ensures the company that manages the Linate and Malpensa airports "the certainty of the revenue necessary for the development of the investment plan", reads a note from Enac.

“With the program contract – explains the president of SEA, Giuseppe Bonomi – among other things, the gap of about 40% of Italian tariffs compared to the average European tariffs is reduced. It is an important signal for our airport system, because it guarantees certain rules relating to the tariff system for a long period of time".

The text of the agreement was sent to the Ministry of Industry and the Economy. It will shortly enter into force by means of a decree issued by the President of the Council. Sixty days after the publication of the provision in the Official Gazette, the new tariff plan will become operational.

The president of Enac, Vito Riggio, hopes that “this same result can be achieved as soon as possible also for the Roman airports, with the collaboration of Aeroporti di Roma, and for Venice Airport, with the collaboration of Save. In fact, the contractual schemes with AdR and Save, positively evaluated by the ENAC board of directors, will soon be forwarded to the competent ministries”.
