Tax breaks, contribution wedge, land registry, alternative to vouchers, electricity, privatizations and agricultural land. As anticipated today by La Repubblica, these are the fundamental points of the new National Reform Program (Pnr) which will be presented at the end of next week together with the 2017 Economic and Financial Document.

TAX DEDUCTIONS: A SHOT OF THE AX COMING SOON

The Pnr provides for the abolition of a series of tax concessions now considered obsolete. There are a good 444 those identified by the latest report on tax expenditures: among these, 51 concern social rights and families and another 49 concern employment policies.

CONTRIBUTION WEDGE: CUT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AND WOMEN

The government plans to cut the contribution wedge in favor of the weakest working classes, starting with young people and women.

REFORM OF THE LAND REGISTRY: FROM ROOMS TO SQUARE METERS

It has been talked about for years now, but the Pnr reiterates once again its intention to carry out a reform of the cadastre to evaluate real estate values ​​more efficiently by passing from the criterion of the number of rooms to that of square metres.

VOUCHER: AN ALTERNATIVE IS STUDYING

After the abolition of vouchers, the government is studying a new solution to regulate ancillary work.

CHEAPER ELECTRICITY

A new "National Electricity Strategy" should be launched, also to reduce "the weight of energy costs on businesses". The plan also includes the liberalization of the electricity and gas markets to open the retail sector by 2018 July XNUMX.

PRIVATIZATIONS

The Pnr reaffirms the objective of "continuing the privatization process" to reduce public debt and sets a time frame from 2017 to 2019, but makes no reference to Post and Railways.

THE 3,4 BILLION MANEUVER
