New inconveniences are coming for those travelling in train: between on 11 and 12 June 2026 one is expected national rail strike which will involve the staff of railway companies and contracting companies. Why the train strike was called
The strike was called jointly by the main trade unions in the sector, including Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uiltransport, Ugl Railwaymen, Fast Confsal e Orsa TransportThe protest stems from a disagreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport over the future procurement procedures for Intercity rail services. The unions challenge the decision to divide the tenders into three separate lots, believing this solution could compromise the uniformity of the service. Workers' organizations, however, are calling for the adoption of a single national lot to ensure the continuity and quality of rail transport.
Train strike on June 11th and 12th: schedules and guaranteed time slots
The shaking will start at 3:00 on Thursday, June 11th and will end at 2:00 on Friday, June 12, for a total duration of 23 hours.
